The Man Makes

The 47 Virtues / The list

The rules, in one list

Most lists of rules for men are a hundred lines long and forgotten by line ten. This one is forty-seven.

Twenty-three maxims a man lives by. Twenty-four traits he is known by. Each has a Stoic source, a verse, and one thing to do this week. Read the list. Pick one. Work it for seven days.
